Hi,

im wondering what would be the estimated hardware requirement for around
60-80mbps of httpd traffic. will a p4 3.0 with 4GB of ram able to handle
this or if not, what would be sufficient.

my next question is, does pen acts somewhat like transparent proxy? what
im trying to find out is that, whether or not the apache in the farm
servers will see the traffic coming from the original sources or only from
pen. also, when replying to the end user, will the farm servers go through
pen again or straight to the users.

my last question is, is it better to run pen on a linux machine or a
freebsd machine. not to start a war of which os is better, but need to
know whats os best to run pen from.

thank your for your attention and hope to hear some replies back as i am
in need of these informations.
