penctl not working under cygwin?

Hello. I was able to recompile pen under cygwin, and it appears to be working properly. I wanted to experiment with penctl to see what is possible, but I get "error reading" for everything I've tried including the "status" command. Using penctl under cygwin to get the status of a pen instance running under linux does work, so it would seem that penctl works ok under cygwin, but communicating with a pen instance under cygwin might be the issue. Again, it does seem to be load balancing properly. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, --Bill
