Concerning this issue, is it a bad idea to add a small function (maybe
trigged only every X seconds) to the mainloop of pen after the FD_ISSET
checks for all open connections (only for which returned FALSE for all
FDs) that will force to close connections which haven't been used for
more than X seconds (kind of a timeout)?
